Competition Time!
Right, well most of you know I am starting a food business in April. My wonderful branding expert has suggested a new name. I was originally going to stick with the blog name, but after listening to Sabrina's excellent advice I realised that I've always hated the name anyway, so why not go with something new for the business. Initially I was very excited about this. It has become the new dinnertime conversation at our house. I have my future sister-in-law trying things out with her peers on a Graduate PR course she's doing. So far nothing is sticking. So I thought I would ask my wonderful readers, who are never short on good suggestions, for their thoughts!
So here's the deal. I want you to come up with a business/brand name for me. I will be selling sauces, spice mixes and baking mixes. They will be top quality ingredients and aimed at people enjoying artisan foods. I'm looking for something quirky and memorable with a dot com domain available!
So what's in it for you? I will send you a complete hamper full of all my products (think chocolate chip cookie mix, brownie mix, BBQ sauce etc.), recipes to use them in, an Irish cookbook and lots of other goodies! Does that sound fair?
Some ideas we've toyed with include The Pink Pantry, BIFFO Foods (Irish people will get that one, since I'm in Offaly), The Simple Gourmet, Ella's Eats and Debsy's Delights. All have been rejected for one reason or another, but maybe that will give you an idea!
As much as I'd like to be spiteful and not include international bloggers, I won't, because I HATE when blogging contests are US only! Um, hello, global medium anyone? But I won't go there now. EVERYONE can enter and enter as much as you like! The prize will go to the best business name, even if I elect not to use it, so you've nothing to lose. Leave a comment here to enter and I will go through them on Tuesday, March 18th.
Thank you ALL for your continued support through this rough time of sporadic posting!
